We live Northeast, and we’d love to have you join our group. We once helped plant a church, and we’ve both led multiple small groups. Topics: We’ll do books of the Bible and are open to suggestions.

Although we are originally from the Midwest, we are new to Rochester, having spent the past five years in Denver, Colorado. We moved here at the end of 2023 and currently live in the Northwest side of town. We have two children, Lucy and Henry, who keep us very busy! We love time near the water in the summer, building snowmen in the winter, and cultivating deep relationships all year round. We are excited to be a part of building and fostering community at Mosaic Church!
Availability: Every Monday 6:30-8p
A small group is designed to help you connect, build trust, study the Bible, and grow in Christ with others at Mosaic Church. There will be opportunities to get to know others in a deeper level and do life together.
Each group will vary in how they do things. A group will typically begin with a time to catch up or hang out. It will then segue into a time of prayer. This is an opportunity to pray for one another. Then, the leader will facilitate a time of Bible study or a selected topic. There will also be elements of serving in the community.
Some small groups will meet every week and others will plan for every other week.
A group will typically meet for approximately 90 minutes.
Small groups meet in people’s homes. Members can choose to host in their homes if that is something they’re open to.
Childcare will depend on each group. Sometimes families will hire their own sitters. Another solution is to hire a sitter for the entire small group.
While we believe that praying together is really important, you will not be asked to pray out loud if you are not ready.
Small group is most effective when everyone participates. However, small group leaders will not make anyone talk if they are not ready to share.
